Directions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Rub the roast with vegetable oil and season with garlic salt and pepper.
- Wrap in foil and bake for 30 minutes per pound plus an extra 30 minutes.
- When meat is cooked and tender, pour off the pan juices and save for beef gravy (either for the roast meal or for leftovers). See Gravy recipe in the Sauces section.
Notes
Leftovers can be chopped and served in brown gravy over rice. Also known as “Monday Night Supper” at Gran and Pawpaw’s house
